Comments regarding DW's diet changes-

I did a pretty lazy version of LE diet. I delayed breakfast until at least 11 A.M. and made sure that I had 14 hours without eating. I had 3 meals a day and cut back on snacking. I allowed myself a sweet treat every evening and had a hot chocolate made with skim milk. I went almost vegetarian, only had meat every 3-4 weeks and only had chicken. I was always on the upper limits of LE diet and had quite a few cheat days. I did drink pep tea during the first months but not in the month I conceived.

If diet was used, length of time before attempt?

I started the diet in march and got a BFP in august but I had 10 days in may where I didn´t stick to diet at all due to family festivities and our holiday in Italy.

Comments regarding DH's diet-

He has always had a pretty healthy diet, lots of vegetables and good fats. He does´t eat a lot of red meat. We both never drink coffee and both don´t smoke.

Was a complete couch potatoe, no exercise at all. I have been at the same weight for almost 20 years. It´s very hard for me to lose weight and it always comes right back on. During LE diet I lost a few pounds and gained them back during my diet break. In the month I conceived I had the same weight as when I conceived our son.

We DTD an the day of +OPK and 3 days before, so I guess that´s 4 days before O and 1 day before O and 2 BD attempts (I didn´t temp). Ovulation was delayed that month and after 3 months of BFNs I didn´t want to miss a chance.

Any additional supplement info?

I took 5mg of folic acid, due to MTHFR mutation. In the first months of TTC I did antihistamines to dry up CM but didn´t get a BFP. I bought Fiber but forgot to take it most of the time :-D

Did you do anything with Ions?

I had a salt rock lamp next to my bed. Don´t really believe in it but I like the light.

Things that make me feel great about my sway:

The month I conceived was really weird. I had a bad throat infection and had to take antibiotics from CD 3 - 7. After a few days feeling better I had a bad cold. All of this delayed ovulation until day 18 (I usually O on CD 13 oder 14). I had almost no EWCM in that month, only some after ovulation. After the antibiotics I had a fungus infection which I had to treat with clotrimazole from CD 17 on. I hope all of this made my body think I was in declining condition. I skipped breakfast and ate a lot less protein and less fat.

Things that make me nervous about my sway:

The fact that I didn´t really lose weight and that I wasn´t very strict on diet. Having two attempts, not just one.

Things worth mentioning:

During our NT scan the doctor found an increased NT. The rest of the scan and the blood results were perfectly normal but we decided to take a blood test to know for sure about Down´s. Yesterday we got the phone call that our baby does not have Down´s and that it is a girl. We are thrilled but still a bit worried about other possible organic defects due to the NT. So please keep your fingers crossed our little girl will turn out 100% healthy.

congrats. And do not worry on the scan since blood tesr showed neg Down Syndrome. My DS2 has increased NT during scan and result are perfect from amniocentesis.
he is now a healthy and active 2yrs toddler.

Huge congrats and so very pleased that baby is healthy!!! Please don't worry about the NT reading, those are wrong all the time. (never seen one that was right!!!) If all other stuff is normal, odds are all but 100% that everything is ok. ((((hugs))))

Nub guessing by the doctor is not common here, in fact our doctor told me he wasn´t allowed to tell me about gender before 14 weeks. But I read the thread above before our scan and watched those You Tube videos and had the pleasure to spot a very clear forked nub during our scan for several times. So I had a really strong girl feeling after the scan :-)
