Migraines?
Since having my 2nd child I get migraines every time I get AF. I used to take the pill continuously for 3 month stretches but now none have been strong enough to prevent spotting. I have tried 3 different brands. I saw a neurologist and received prescription medication for the migraines but I hate the thought of having to take them every month for the rest of my life. I'm hoping getting pregnant again acts as some sort of body reset, but if not I'm looking for other options.
Has anyone else had to deal with migraines?
If they were also related to hormones did you ever try getting a longer lasting form of birth control like a spiral inserted?
I hope I put this in the right spot.

Yes I have hormonal migraines and luckily they aren't that severe usually, more visual disturbances and just generally feeling unwell, but I get them quite often both with O and almost always with AF.
In some of my pg they got worse (the first time I got one I was pg and in one of my pg I had one every day for 2 weeks) and then in some pg they did get better. They are supposed to get better as we get older and I do tentatively think that has been the case for me, haven't had one for a while now.!!! Questions?? When I'm not pregnant I used to get them really bad just before AF, but touch wood, I haven't had them in a while either and they did get better after each pregnancy.
I don't take BC though, never have as we have a history of blood clots in our family.
Hope you find some relief somehow soon as I know how horrible they can be.Mum of 9 boys & my stillborn angel daughter, Shaylah Anne 20/02/2015

That is great to hear! I was worried that they would only get worse. I feel like my body is out of whack since my last pregnancy I'm super sensitive to alcohol even getting a headache sometimes after one beer which never happened before. I also have a vitamin h deficiency (weak nails, etc) which I didn't have before. Hopefully another pregnancy will push things in a different direction.

I get frequent migraines. ..especially ocular ones where I get the swiggling lights and go blind temporarily. They have gone up and down between pregnancies. After my second they went away for the most part and after my third they came back. Weird how our body makes changes between babies. My eye prescription has even changed and then changed back again.

I used to get migraine's around AF when I was in high school to the point of continually throwing up and had to go to the ER to get a shot of Morphine or other strong painkiller. I then had a birth control implant inserted and thankfully they stopped.
I have had 5 pregnancy's and they returned after my 4th pregnancy for about 3 months and then stopped.
Hope they settle for you soon.
