No I think a lot of people prefer you to be in the 13th week. I will be 13+1 for my scan, by my calculation. I feel like if it is a boy we will be able to tell...
Exciting times!!

Okay i knew 13 was preferable but thought almost 14 weeks might be too late. I have never had an nt scan before. So nervous!! I feel like i dont want to see the nub and yet i do...

QueenB, I'm so sorry for the rude comment by your FIL! If I had a dollar for every rude and not-thought-through comment I've received over the years, I would be a rich woman! People just don't realise! And now that I told my family that it's most likely a girl, I was annoyed at how delighted they were. I guess you never win!
Rosie and QueenB, 13+1 and 13+3/5 are not too late for nubs and also not too early for a potty shot if you have a willing tech! I got a potty shot and a nub shot at 13+0. So week 13 is good, even though many people say it's too early to see gender and too early for potty shot. My tech said that it is not! But I guess you need to know what you are looking for. Your run of the mill tech/gyn might not know the difference between the genders at week 13, but some will be able to tell you!

Got my call from my genetic counselor today too! Super low odds for any of the trisomies, etc. -- actually as low as the test allows. Good stuff!
Hope everyone has equally good news at their NT scans coming up!

Baby didn't cooperate! We tried for 45 minutes and didn't get a single profile shot. So i can't have the screening. I did jumping jacks and ran in place and drank cold water...we even did a vaginal scan and nothing worked! She did see the fluid under the neck quickly and it looked real nice and thin...hopefully that means all is good. The only pics i got are face forward. Zero nub was seen. So disappointed!

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
