The first 4 weeks I'm not sure why-maybe kids got out of school and busier then I saw my dr in 3 weeks and I hadn't gained either but we had a 12 hour stomach bug so I had to regain some weight. Anyway, she's wanting me to eat smaller meals and gain some more weight. I think I'll be fine, hoping I don't go way overboard though. I think the sickness just made me lose too much weight. Baby is measuring fine though.

That's odd that they r so concerned. Are you fairly thin in general? I am 25 weeks & up 9 pounds from my pregnancy low but still down about 6 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. My doc hasn't really expressed any concern so far.... BUT I am far from thin.

This dr mentions my weight every time I go in, I've never had that happen before. I've found this kind of odd. Usually the comments are, "your gaining weight nice and slow," but I guess after 7 weeks of no weight gain she's kind of surprised.
Yes, I'm usually a size 0 or 2 but muscular. I do triathlons and am a fitness instructor so it would be safe for me to gain more weight but not excessive of course. I think since baby is fine, and I had a reason why I hadn't gained in the past 3 weeks (stomach virus) she was ok with. Not sure why I had only gained 1/2 pound between the 4 weeks before that. I think they have to make sure there I am not doing it on purpose - anorexia, bulimia, drugs, etc. you never know what some people will do.

dpike do you work out a lot while pregnant too? I'm normally very thin to other people's standards but normal on the charts but for whatever reason I gain gain when pregnant- still normal ish 35 lbs or so but it definitely feels faster this time around.

Well, I know they may be concerned that baby is getting enough and may lead to growth restriction as if you are thin there aren't a lot of fat stores for the body to burn if needed like there would be in my case.
Although, my high risk specialist's office may end up crapping bricks when I see them on Wen. I am having to test my blood sugar and keep a journal of what I eat and how much. I eat very little per sitting and lately been eating 2x a day as I follow my hunger and only eat when hungry. For example, I am supposed to test 4x a day (fasting and after breakfast, lunch and dinner) but only been testing 3x (fasting and after my 2 meals). They said they didn't want me to change my eating habits so I see no need to force feed myself a 3rd meal. But in addition to that, as I said, I don't eat much per sitting. .. esp now that everything feels so crowded in there. Like for lunch today (didn't eat breakfast) I had an egg (well done I like over easy) with cheese and mayo on an english muffin. I didn't even finish it. I ate about 2/3rds and handed it to DH because I was full. *I* am not concerned because I am not losing weight, she has been plenty active and I have a good amount of fat my body could easily burn for extra if necessary, but I don't think it is as the body would send out a hunger signal if more calories were needed before burning fat stores and I eat according to hunger which has been pretty minimal lately. Doc is still gonna flip, I think, though.

I bet they will too. I'm expected to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. I don't have the time, the stomach room, nor the appetite for that! I'm managing to eat 3 tiny meals most days, but am miserable afterward and lately have been throwing up after eating again. I've started packing on 2-4 lb a week since 28 weeks though, so I'm assuming it has to be from fluid retention as I'm getting super puffy.

That's what happens to me if I try to force feed myself so I see no point. I end up sick and miserable and all for nothing.

I am having none of these eating issues you ladies speak of. Lol. Though I definitely have to eat less per sitting because otherwise I end up really uncomfortable but I still like to eat...a lot.

After my appointment Monday the doctor I saw seemed to think I'd go into labor in the next 1-2 weeks because of my cervix shortening so quickly. Well, now today I started losing globs of my mucus plug and I can't stop pooping, which always happens before I go into labor. Based on past pregnancies that could be anywhere from 2-7 days from now. With my luck it'll be on Monday because we're having a Fourth of July party for my mom's birthday and then we'd have to cancel it. LOL
