Yes, it's another Coke question!I'd love all of your thoughts on which camp you think caffeine-free Diet Coke falls into:
* "Not harmful for a pink sway; drink it if you just can't quit soda but otherwise don't bother"
* "Helpful for a pink sway; guzzle it and watch that pH plummet!"
In general, I don't drink much pop (and I've *never* been a diet pop drinker and I have two sons). I seem to see quite a bit of anecdotal evidence (both in real life and on the site) that women who drink diet sodas with aspartame get girls.
I find caffeine-free Diet Coke easier to drink than Crystal Lite. But I don't want to pack it into my sway if it's simply *not harmful* ... I want to add it to my sway if it's *helpful*.
Your votes, ladies? Thank you!!

Well I'm sat here with a great big glass in my hand now! I believe the only reason others say no to caffeine free diet coke is because it isn't completely caffeine free and they believe caffeine is something to stay clear of because it hinders absorption of calcium. I'm not taking extra calcium (either through diet or supplements) so I don't even bother with the caffeine free stuff. I've never been a pop drinker either, except occasionally, and I see many girl mums who are. I also find it really helps to supress the appetite and stops me from snacking in the evenings. If it lowers pH as well then I'm sold

I was thinking about this, I think alot of girl mums drink diet pop as many of them diet and like zanacal said diet pop helps keep hunger at bay. So if just for that alone I think it's worth it.

UGH
This is one part of the sway that I'd love to include but I just can't do it.
I have 3 boys....do not drink pop at all...let alone diet pop! I really don't like what I've read about aspartame though, which is the only reason I'm not including it in my sway. I know 3 women with girls who drink diet pop on a regular basis.....I also know many others who have girls, who will not touch the stuff.... I'd say if you're not worried about the artificial sweetener...go for it!!!Crunchy Mama to 3 rambunctious boys~'06 :bike: '08

I have been drinking diet for awhile and honestly the Diet Coke and Pepsi tasted gross... I ended up drinking Diet Bargs because it doesn't taste like diet.

I rarely drank any soda with my boys either. Maybe a few times a year. I have been drinking it for my sway. When I heard caffeine free diet cola did the trick for other sways I figured it was the opposite of what I usually do. Maybe it will be different enough?
