We don't know for sure but we think it's because it slightly lowers your overall fertility (when done at the recommended level) and also reduces blood sugar.

Does it have to be everyday for it to be effective? Thank you for your help. I know dh diet isn't as important but what sort of things would help? He has a high salt and sugar intake, doesn't eat fruit and veg as a rule and generally has a very unhealthy diet, will it harm our pink sway?

You can get a girl with all levels of exercise but I believe the 60 6-7 recomendation is the most effective (60 min or more a day, 6-7 days a week)

If he were to just cut bac k on meat overall that may help. Some people give DH soy milk.

One of the biggies hes already doing - smoking. I wouldn't go overboard with other stuff because that has really seemed to sway overwhelmingly pink.

I was trying to get him to quit but I think I will stop nagging him for a bit now :-) with regards to potassium, how do you know that you're getting enough when it is not put on the label? I worry a little about that.

SElf.com has reliable potassium info but I think the most reliable way is to be sure you're getting at least 1000 mg from SOMEWHERE (which is why I advocate coconut water), even foods that are considered "no-no's" on other sway sites. Then you can pretty much rest assured that you're getting 1500 a day from the rest of your diet, as long as it's sensible. GEtting 1500 for people has just seemed to happen, but getting up to 2500-3500 mg is something that needs to be worked at. If you start off with 1000 a day, then you know you're prob. gonna be ok.
