Cervix in the TWW?

Hi ladies! I'm curious if cervical position is any indictor of pregnancy or not in the TWW? I read online that if you're pregnant, it will be high and soft. I'm 7dpo today and after checking, it's low and hard(ish). Does that mean anything? This is my first medicated cycle (Femara) and I was so hopeful. Not planning to test until Monday and after months of BFN's, I'm trying to mentally prepare myself...

It can take a few days for your cervix to change. 7dpo can be early still. 8-12dpo is the normal range for implantation, and I imagine it could take the cervix a couple of days longer to respond. Also, to note real changes to your cervix, you need to check all cycle long. Changes that happen will be relative to one another and not always apparent in isolation.

Hey Max, from experience mine took well past 14dpo to show any noticeable changes. Based on that I thought I was out too. I wouldn't use this as an early indicator. Also CM didn't change much until even later as well. 🤞this is your month.

Please leave your cervix alone, ladies. It doesn't tell you anything reliable and every time you go poking at it, you run the risk of introducing microorganisms that can cause infections.

remember, the thing that triggers pregnancy changes is the hormone changes and so by the time your body experiences any noticeable symptoms, you may as well just take a pregnancy test at that point. There is no point to doing stuff like this and only potential harm.

As you can see in my chart, my cervix went up and down and firmness changed. It isn't reliable. If you know your body really well then you'll be able to spot something totally out of the ordinary. For me it was this massive amount of sticky white CM, looked like elmer's paste. It was once only and then nothing. I left my cervix alone after that.

Checking the cervix during your fertile period is different from the 2ww because if you are pregnant, the mucous plug is going to start building and the cervix may be a bit open so bacteria is easily introduced into it. It also won't go through its normal cleansing (AF) so it could potentially cause issues.

I would prefer you guys just left it alone. I've seen enough pregnancies ended by infections (not a lot, but enough), hundreds of cases of unexplained midcycle bleeding triggered by cervix checks, and sooooo much confusion, tension, fear, stress, concern with people poking and prodding their cervexes to have concluded that the risks vastly outweigh the benefit of any (very typically unreliable) information gleaned from it. And for pink swayers in particular it feeds swaycession like nothing else.
