are there clinical trials available?
does anyone know of or heard of applying for a clinical trial for family balancing that may be cheaper (than the regular cost of PGD) or even free? does that even exist?

In Australia, if you have a history of chromosome problems or birth defects/issues that can be sorted through PGD, then you can apply for a grant to get your PGD at reduced rate. You would have to show finanical hardship and the link as to why you need PGD.
I don't think though there would be anything for family balancing. Most trials you do at your own risk and still pay the full amount.
