Had my mock xfer today, and they found a uterine polyp. I have to have it removed next week, delaying our transfer to early January.

Boooooooooooo (but I'm glad they found it!)

Im back on bc.. supposed to start Lupron on Friday, but that's delayed until after surgery

My first FET failed. I’m so sad. I don’t know what to do.

My doctor wants to hold off on everything and do AI testing. He is testing me for everything since I have really thinning hair, constant fatigue, eczema that won't be managed (facial and scalp dermatitis). I also had two miscarriages between #2 and #3, which he has no way of knowing were related to any AI issue, or genetics (I know the first was molar, so obviously genetic).
He said results take 3-4 weeks. I asked to go on BC during the wait so that he can pull me off to cycle again once the results are in.
Is it normal to feel absolutely awful and deflated after a BFN? I know I have a couple more shots (God willing, as long as they dethaw properly), but I feel crushed and hopeless right now.
Has anyone had to take a break for testing then resumed? What was your result/ eventual outcome?

Most of us that have experienced an ivf miscarriage or bfn take several months off before transferring or cycling again. Between my first and second transfer I waited 3 months. I miscarried after my second transfer and waited for 9 months before transferring again. I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant following that transfer.

Hang in there. Unfortunately it is not a quick and easy process for a lot of us.

And it is completely normal to feel terrible after a bfn. You are hormonal and have a lot invested in this. I think most of us go into this process thinking that it is a lot easier to handle emotionally than it actually is. The highs are high and the lows are very low.

Thank you for your replies, ladies. I appreciate the real insight and I am truly sorry to anyone who has had a BFN or failed IVF cycle. Much love!

After my pgs miscarriage I had lots of tests done and I discovered I have a clotting disorder. So next time I’m going with clexane. Sometimes you need a break to know what’s going on. I had to cycle all over again...
