New & Would Love Help w/Girl Sway! What Worked For You?
Hi everyone!
So I'm new at this & need some help! I've been researching at great length about swaying pink. I have 2 awesome toddler boys and love them with all my heart! With all of that being said, we are trying for #3 and longing for a baby girl!!!!
Here is what I've been doing....anything else? What worked for you???
Vitex 1x daily from AF-O
Baby aspirin 1xdaily
Girl diet-lots of dairy, crystal light, no potatoes, no bananas...
No prenatals until I get a BFP
Just received my Sylk lube in the mail to try
Still breastfeeding my youngest only at night
Currently have a cold
Planning BD everyday until O
DH is not a smoker, but decided to randomly smoke this weekend-then I actually read that helps somehow?
No smoking for me!
Planning to have DH take a hot shower
Can't seem to give up caffeine or breakfast though
My info:
38
Petite
Vegetarian
Zoloft for anxiety
Of course I love love love my boys and wouldn't change a thing, but think I unknowingly swayed blue both times with preseed, FertileCM, soy isoflavones, diet...love potatoes etc!
Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!!

Hi and welcome.
GL with your sway journey, there is lots of great pink sway specific advice in the ttc a girl forums. I don't know the details of the LE diet since I'm a blue swayer but I'm pretty sure that caffeine is suggested for pink swayers so no need to feel guilty about not giving it up.DD1 (2014)
DD2 (2016)
Our sway is getting into NOW or NEVER territory

Thanks for the info! I look forward to checking out the girl sway forums! Good luck on your journey as well! Looks like we're in similar, but opposite boat. I know all about boys...fun times with trucks, cars & dirt lol, but I need a girl to braid her hair & pass down my dollhouse, wedding dress etc haha dreaming...
I feel certain that the supplements and my diet unknowingly swayed boy...which they would be amazing big brothers to a sister Boy baby dust to you!!

No daily aspirin when breastfeeding. You need to wean off the aspirin right away (it isn't working anyway) don't stop it suddenly, just wean off gradually)
We do a different kind of diet on this site so I'll not comment on that.
no prenatals and DH smoking seems to help for reasons we don't know.
Caffeine (especially coffee( we have found to sway pink. The whole reason it was ever said to sway blue has been entirely debunked by science so no worries there.
Vegetarian and Zoloft will only help.
I personally don't recommend BD daily thru O for pink, we get great results with only one attempt in your fertile window of O-3 thru O day.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks!! There's so much info out there, that it's difficult to know if I'm following the correct regimen. I really appreciate the advice since you have experience! Glad to hear about the caffeine...hard to give that up being a working mom & chasing after toddlers!
I didn't realize that about aspirin...so it's a myth? Do you have any info on anyone using vitex or sylk to sway girl? I was very lucky & got pregnant on the the 1st attempt with my youngest DS and was discouraged when that didn't happen this time. Now on my 2nd attempt ttc #3, do you think the vitex may be causing some difficulty?

I'm sorry you lost me?? Is what a myth? Aspirin has never been considered safe when breastfeeding and I can give my personal experience when I took it (before I knew that) it made my baby bleed really bad and so I don't recommend it.
If you mean for swaying, we used to think it lowered pH and swayed that way, but then our results have shown it didn't do anything.
If you mean for implantation/preventing miscarriage, newer data indicates that if you are taking it without having a proven clotting issue like MTHFR you actually may raise your risks of miscarriage.
So not really a myth, just that newer evidence has come to light.
It takes fully fertile couples doing nothing to sway, an average of 3-6 months to fall pregnant. Now, Vitex does seem to cut overall odds of conception significantly so if you're thinking of changing something up, it's among the first things I recommend that you drop.!!! Questions?? Sorry I was confusing Atomic, yes I meant baby aspirin for swaying pink & preventing miscarriage. I'm glad I joined this forum b/c I'm learning that I need to change the way I've been thinking all along! I have been BFing at night & taking 1 baby aspirin the AM, so I thought I was ok, but will discontinue. Also discontinuing the vitex and seeing what happens next!! Thanks again for the help!!

We don't know how the Zoloft works, just that it is something we see observationally being linked to more girls.
Yes, DH on Zoloft sways pink (and very likely even MORE than DW on it at least according to what I've observed)
Be sure not to give hubby LR, pep tea, or soy with Zoloft as it may make it impossible for him to perform!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
