My fertility hormone test results
These are my levels. I had the test done 7 days after I Oed, so on CD 25. The numbers that are in brackets are the normal range).
FSH - 4. (1-12)
LH - 1. (1-20)
E2 - 228. (205-790)
PROG - 17.2 (5-95)
All these numbers seem to be on the low side to me, especially LH and FSH, but neither my GP now the Ob/gyn/FS that I saw recently said anything about it. They seem to believe my results are within the normal range. What do you ladies think? Atomic?

Why are you having testing on day 25? To confirm ovulation? This can't tell you anything about ovarian reserve. Those tests are done on day 2,3 or 4.

I agree. That's a weird, and wrong, day to test those. The only one done on the correct day was progesterone, which they test at 7DPO. The others should be tested on CD3.

Really? The doctor just told me to get them done on any day, altogether, and only gave me one slip of paper for the blood work. The FS I saw last week didn't even mention what days in my cycle I should have what test done on. This is so god-damn frustrating! I have seen like 3 different doctors now and they can't tell me what cycle day I should get these diff hormones tested on. Seems ridiculous! So, obviously the only one I've gotten right this time is progesterone. Can you guys tell me which others I should have done on which day? Or do I get alll of these other three done on CD 2, 3 or 4? I have one slip of paper left from another doctor (for all the same tests, would you believe, and she told me to get them ALL done together on CD 3 I think), so will just get them done on CD 3 next cycle and see what they say. I wonder if any other ladies have had trouble with this in Australia? Feels like when it comes to fertility issues our doctors and Ob/etc, just aren't as up to date as those in the US and the U.K. Anyway, does my progesterone seem OK?

Seriously STOP testing girl!
those are old results from last month...it doesnt mean squat for this cycle.
you could have good, bad, indifferent results it won't change whether you get pg or not....there is nothing those dr can do to fix it and make a perfect golden egg out of a pill....all it does is it just stresses you out....
"oh, this is tooo low...this is tooo high....must be getting up there....blah blah blah"
i know. I've been there. 5 years of fertiliry dr and NO baby. If they could make a baby out of their magic drug voodoo cocktails & protocols i'd have 20 kids by now....but they cant because they cant create life. All they can do is put the ingredients in a dish and PRAY something happens bc they are just men. Thats it. They dont create anything. They dont make a living soul. They cant force it to implant and grow inside you.
Sooooooooo....its hard but you
just have to
LET.IT.GO.
ENJOY BD.
whatever will B will B
you will see it will happen when you least expect it.

1moregirl I had my amh and fsh testing done cd3 or 4? Cant remember exactly. I'm in Aus and my regular gp organised the bw and knew/or looked up what cd it needed to be done on. Sounds like you've been unlucky doctor wise.
I agree with everything mrsgoodies said. I gave up ttc after a 12/13 cycles ttc then one failed cycle on clomid (my fertility results were not good) and threw my remaining clomid, repeat scripts in the bin. I put away my thermometer and uninstalled ff from my phone. I felt so ready to move on and I was genuinely happier than I have been for over a year, it was such a freeing feeling! Me and dh had unprotected bd once and he hadn't released since our previous cycles attempts (I found out after bd). It was never considered an attempt anyway as after doing cycle after cycle of eod sometimes with extra attempt there was no way I was going to fall pregnant. I started making inquiries about going back to work 1-2 days/week. Then just because they were there leftover I tested using a frer over two days and got a bfp the 2nd day. I still cannot believe it and I'm now 5w 4d? I should never have gotten a bfp and still cant understand how I did, to me its a miracle!! I can only think it was because I completely let go and found happiness in how things were and the universe decided it was going to happen for me after all. Sorry for the big speil, I wanted to explain properly and I hope the same happens for you and you get your longed for bfp! Don't give up but on the same hand maybe don't try so hard? Does that make sense?

I'm also in Australia and had no issues with what I needed to get done. Was told cd2-3 and then cd10 for a certain scan (I can't remember the name)
Are you going HT with HRC??

This is about the 6th post today with doctors testing hormones at all the wrong times. Some things have to be testing on CD 3, others 3 or 7 DPO, and nee'r the twain shall meet. Soo, I am forced to draw a conclusion which is that a fair few of them are happy to order pointless tests possibly to get rid of us or placate us or something.
I agree with Mrs. Goodies. The numbers aren't going to help and yes just as she says there are sooo many women testing month after month after month and the doctors do not have any help to give them. And at the same time I have seen at least 3-4 dozen women on this very site told that they had no chance of conceiving at all by the doctors and given no hope at all who ended up pregnant with the Goldie the Golden Egg approach.
Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
