Small clot above uterus?

Hello everyone.
I went for my first OB appointment today and I'm 8 weeks 5 days according to my LMP. The doctor said the baby looks good although baby measures 7 weeks 6 days and heartbeat at 173. But I have a small blood clot above my uterus. He said not to worry but too late thanks to Google. Anyone else has this?

Try not to worry and take it easy. Blood clots can be reabsorbed and may be gone by your next u/s

That's not unusual and will most likely clear up on its own by next ultrasound!

HOw sure are you on dates.

Thanks ladies. I am really sure I bled on 9/27 as far as ovulating I'm not sure. I know there is a variance of plus/minus 5 days. The baby could be curled too it happened with my DD she alwas measured differently at each ultrasound.

Didn't you get a later BFP ? I think it was a couple of days after AF was due so maybe you ovulated a couple of days later too we just never really know for sure.
I know it is so easy to say relax and much harder to do - but do try.
