TMI, question for moms!
First time mom here so I have a question for all of you who have been through pregnancy before or just have any advice in general!
On Sunday husband and I went out to eat and I had a taco salad. A few hours later my stomach was cramping SO much and basically the taco salad went right through me. I felt 100% better after and figured it just didn't settle well. Monday night, seriously 24hrs after that, I had another bout of diarrhea, only once and nothing between the two. Yesterday nothing too exciting and then this morning had a loose stool and just now had one time diarrhea again. I don't have any other flu symptoms like fever or anything, and it's never more than once a day. Is this something to be concerned about or maybe just another great side effect of pregnancy? I never had constipation so I don't know if this is just my body's way of adjusting. Should I call my OB or just make sure I have plenty of fluid? Dr. Google basically didn't seem all concerned.

I had that with DS2 and this pregnancy. Certain foods trigger it for me and my OB says that some women get more sensitive to foods during pregnancy. If you are concerned about it you can always call your OB, but it sounds pretty normal to me.

Oh Yes! Ugh one of the effects of pregnancy for me, especially in the last trimester, its either constipation or something goes right through you, when usually I have a stomach of steel.
Just make sure to keep hydrated.

Oh yeah, no one tells you that you can get bouts of diarrhea for no apparent reason when pregnant! This often happens in the first trimester due to the increase in hormones for some of us.
You're doing great! Push the fluids and eat what you can until it passes. Make note of the foods that can trigger it but know that it does go away....until labor is about to start that is!
DS1🏼, DS2, DS3 Jan. '16 I'll sway for a DD for my DH!!

Thanks, XX! I posed the same question in a FB group I'm in and I was surprised how many had it, or said its more common than you think. Thanks for the reassurance - off to get nub shot today so hoping for some good news among this!

Diarrhea was a very common symptom for me in pregnancy. Just like you describe. I would go back and forth between being constipated and then diarrhea, no in between. :/
Usually when you have harmful food poisoning, like listeria, you KNOW it. You'd be ill. I think your tummy was just irritable.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
