    HCG levels

    Hi girls....

I am now 8 weeks pregnant and early ultrasound confirmed only 1 baby, I am just concerned that my HCG levels are too high.

I did a blood test at around 5 weeks and it was 32,000.....does that seem worrying?

I have read about high levels and possibly birth defects....have any of you ladies had a high level? Does it sound 'normal'? range ?

    Thanks for your advice

    HCG levels

I had super high beta HCG over 32,000 at 5 weeks with my DS3. He is just fine with absolutely no birth defects at all! Boy did I feel sick with him though, right from the get go! I never puked- I just had sour stomach that only Zantac would help! It took me 2 weeks to figure it out though!

FX for a nice, healthy baby!!

Most likely explanation is you are a little further along than you thought, other most likely explanation is just a nice sticky baby. Birth defects are way, way, way down the list.
