Agnus Castus/Vitex
Is it okay to take vitex when TTC a boy? I ovulate very late in my cycle (it's CD25 and I'm still waiting to O). I want to start taking vitex to regulate my cycles, but don't want to harm my sway by doing so. Yey or ney?

It's supposed to sway pink. Some pink sways include it. When I took it AF-AF it really pushed ovulation back, but I've heard if you take it cd1-12 only it may help move up o.
Have you looked into soy isoflavones? I think they increase cm which would sway blue and they're also supposed to move up o if take cd 3-7 (like clomid)2010 2012 2015--home water birth VBA2C!!praying for one last

Thank you Soy really messes with my hormones so I try to avoid it. I think I'm going to risk messing up my sway and taking the vitex. I really appreciate your reply!

I'm sure there are plenty of ways to counteract the slight pink sway of the Vitex if you're doing lots of other things to sway blue!!

No I wouldn't, but it's certainly not a dealbreaker if you really think you need it

Thanks again. CD29 now and still no O. This is my 6th cycle since coming off birth control and this is definitely the latest I'll O- if I O at all... Just getting frustrated. You have to O to get pregnant at all, so I think the vitex is my best option right now. We are 100% okay with a boy or a girl, so whatever happens, happens. We want one of each eventually, so if we get a girl we'll just do a hardcore blue sway next time. I just want a baby!!

Is femara an option to help regulate your cycle? It's neutral for swaying purposes. I would avoid Vitex for a boy sway.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

A recent study just found that Femara also swayed pink.

I'm not sure but I'm going in this coming Wednesday for my annual exam. I plan to bring my charts & ask her about it- I have a midwife instead of an OB, and she was the one that recommended charting to begin with. Hopefully she has a few tricks up her sleeve I did end up ovulating yesterday I believe- can't confirm until I get a couple more temp rises- so either way I'll either get a BFP or AF in two weeks. My LP is fine (13 days) it's just my follicular phase that's all over the place and getting longer and longer with every passing cycle. I don't want to have to wait 40 or more days between attempts. Hopefully my MW can help!
