Ovulating on the left side sways?

I was just wondering if there's any truth to this or any articles I could read about it? We made our one attempt at +opk and now I'm having o cramps (they're always very painful and obvious for me) on the left side. Last month was right.

    Thanks!!!

I've heard then ovaries 'talk' to each other so pain in a particular side doesn't help identify which side you ovulated from only a scan would tell you xx

You can't tell what side you are ovulating from on the basis of O pains. Your ovaries develop eggs on both sides and can get very swollen and painful even if the egg is released from the other side. In fact, for some people ovulating relieves the pain so you can even have worse O pain on the side you don't ovulate from.

To answer your question, there is some research that says if you look at a 3 month pattern of ovulation side (confirmed by ultrasound, NOT O pain) that if you O R, R, L, you are more likely to have a girl. But it was nowhere near 100% or anywhere close to it and there were lots of other patterns that got different results.
