Eating green leafy veg on the LE diet??

I just wanted to check if it's really Ok to eat lots of green leafy veg on the LE diet??. I was low on Iron back in March after my miscarriage and the Doctor prescribed Iron tablets. I finished the tablets in May, but the Doc said to eat loads of foods rich in Iron. I know spinich, cabbage etc are good for iron. Are these grade A/b foods and ok for a pink sway??.

Also I know milk chocolate is a grade b food, I eat a chocolate bar per day to up my cals for the day, is this ok??.
    Thanks xx

Dolly someone like atomic will probably comment on this post with better advice! but I think green leafy veges are a free for all!! Milk chocolate is fine as long as you don't go over your totals for the day. have you joined what we are eating thread? I check in on that every now and then to check im eating roughly what others are.
Good luck and try not to worry over the little details its the overall picture of the diet XX

As kitkat said, I think green leafy veggies are fine. Since I'm hardly ever eating meat (maybe 2 ounces a week or less?), I do eat spinach every other day minimum. I don't want to kill myself or make myself ill by only eating bread, rice, pasta and sugary things! Iron is very important and if you aren't eating eggs or meat there are only so many ways to get it.

Yes, it is fine. would also like to see you eating some eggs and beans/legumes for iron.

When health is concerned please do what you need to do and do not worry about the "Grades"

I think chocolate is ok on LE - milk/white choc is best. but be aware that chocolate can supposedly block iron absorption. Normally this wouldn't matter a whole lot but the type of iron in the leafy greens is not best absorbed and you may not want to have the chocolate at the same time of day.
