So mad at myself! I took saw palmetto a day after positive OPK, should I be worried?
I accidentally (force of habit) took my saw palmetto this morning, I'm freaking out a little bit because I had a positive OPK yesterday and know I was supposed to stop it at that point!! I'm trying not to over think it too much but can anyone tell me how much if any I should be concerned? Thank you!

Also, instead of starting a new thread I figured I'll ask here too... Since beginning the saw palmetto I've noticed an increase in libido, this is strange right? Since that's the opposite that should be happening when lowering testosterone levels? I have had conversations with my Dr. In the past about concern for my lack of libido so the fact that I now have any is very unusual.... Could it be the excitement of ttc or something like that or could the saw palmetto actually be causing it? In which case that will probably be bad for my sway huh? :-(

let me start off by saying I know absolutely nothing about saw palmetto. BUT I doubt if you took it one day after your pos opk it would do any harm (I mean, you may not even have o'd yet). And I definitely think the TTC'ing can cause an increase in libido and, no, I don't think that's bad for your sway. I've always had a very low libido (and have all boys, btw) but when we started trying for our first, I wanted sex all the time. I think it's just the act of trying to have a baby that threw me into wanting it, if you know what I mean. And I don't know your situation, but I found once I came of BCP, I found my libido ebbed up a bit.

Oh sorry thought I answered this already. Don't worry about taking it after pos OPK if it's only one day. I just don't want you to take it all thru the cycle.
Re the libido issue, women's libido is way more complex than men and testosterone really doesn't have the same oomph for us that it does for men. We have a microscopic amount of the stuff. I honestly don't have enough info to answer that question but I suspect if the SP ha anything to do with it, it's because it's affecting E/P levels and nothing to do with T.
If you always got boys with a low libido, something changing can't be bad, yk??!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
