confused about Antihistamines in uk. help pls!

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but in my plan it states to take cetrizine. I purchased Zirtex and it states it has 'cetrizine dihydrochloride' . Is that ok?

also what antihist in uk contains 'diphenhydramine'? BENEDRY no longer does in the uk and I don't know which other to buy?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Xx

Yes, that is fine. I just abbreviate the scientific name to simplify things.

In the UK diphenhydramine is sold as a sleep aid so you have to look for it in amongst the sleep aid products.

    Thank you atomic!
    1. Can I just ask if 'nytol' is ok?
Its a sleep ais in uk and active ingredient is
    diphenhydramine hydrochloride?
otherwise amazon sell diphenhydramine on its own.
    2. Also am I right in thinking I only take the diphenhydramine if the cetirizine hasnt worked in drying out cm?

    thanx in adavnce xx

    Yes, that is fine.

Yes, only take diphenhydramine if cetirizine alone does not seem effective.

Thank you Atomic! You're right about the diphenhydramine being sold as sleep aid in uk. Can I ask, if I was to take the cetrizine earlier in the day but found that I still had alot of cm, can I take sudafed instead later in the day rather than the diphenhydramine?

Also, for DH, can he take sudafed or cetrizine? (he has been taking LR the week prior). thank u xx

No. NO Sudafed for DW, it's not safe.

The only things I have had confirmed to me by doctors and pharmacists as being safe together are cetirizine and diphenhydramine. I do not advise mixing and matching any other medication aside from those two.

DH can take either Sudafed or cetirizine. Men seem to tolerate Sudafed better. However - I don't think I put this in your plan - if I didn't put Sudafed for DH in your plan, it was because I didn't think it was a good idea for some reason.

Ok so then no Sudafed for him. Not safe and would cut odds of conception too far.

I would not have him take the cetirizine either. It ~might~ make his semen a little thicker and harder to liquefy and thus prevent some sperm from leaving to enter your cervix.
