    Help with OPK

    Hi
I'm new using wondfo brand OPK.

I'm on CD12 currently and there is a very faint line under control line.
    I know that's negative O.

My question is do I see a gradual darkening of the line a few days before Ovulation or does it just
Show up positive ( see a dark line like the control) on ovulation ??

    Thanks

Many people see a nice progression but not all do, and it can change from month to month. I do usually see gradual darkening with Wondfos, but every now and then I get sudden darkening completely out of the blue.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

    One other question.
My cycles are about 28 days long.
I'm currently on CD 12 and I tested once this morning and it was negative.

When Should I start testing 3x/day ? I don't want to miss it since this OPK is very different that the clear blue digital that I've used in the past.

Also once i do get a positive is it positive for only 1 day only ?

    Sorry for all these questions.

I would test again around 12pm-3pm, sometime in there, with holding your pee for 4 hours and nothing to drink for the last 2 hours before you test again. Most people's LH surge is better detected in the afternoon, despite what the package says on the opks.

Some people have a surge for 1-3 days. No matter how long your surge is, you can O on average 24-48 hours after your FIRST positive opk. Some people can O on the first day of a positive.

    HTH! FX for you!!

It can go either way - some people in some months have fade ins, other times they go from stark white to dark positive all of a sudden! The annoying thing is that it can happen even if you normally have fade ins - there's no "setting" on that, it's all about what your body does in a particular month.
