Basal body temp flictuations
Was wondering if anyone might have some insight on basal body temps
I have had low basal body temps ever since I started tracking my cycles for ttc#1 with my temp not going above 96.8 until I fell pregnant with DD.
I had no issues falling pregnant last time (1st month trying) & do have hypothyroidism which I know can cause the low temps.
I recently started tracking again & temp was in the 95s. 4 weeks ago I had an iron infusion and after a couple of days my temps went up into the 96.8-97 range. I got AF 10 days ago and ever since it finished 5 days ago my temps have been below 96.8.
Any idea what might be going on? I got excited thinking the infusion helped raise my temps. I do have a cold so not sure if that's affecting them?
TIA!

Well, if it's any consolation, "the other site" says low temps = boys.
I suspect that what is going on, is that 4 weeks ago you were just about to ovulate (going off when AF came) and your temps probably went up because of that and now your body is making estrogen, which it's supposed to, and so your temps went down. That's just what jumps out to me. It would be interesting if the iron did have an effect though.

Thanks Atomic.
I had seen that on the other site when I 1st found swaying and laughed as I proved that theory wrong.
I'm not sure what's going on the last 2 days my temps have been over 98.6 again.. As you said maybe my body is gearing up to O again - although it's only CD13 and last month no +ve opk till CD22

Every month is different and some people will O on wildly varying days between months.
Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
