    1)Dosage - 100 mg (after failed cycles with 25 & 50)
    2)Days clomid is/was taken in your cycle - 3-7
3)Outcome (i.e pregnant - w/ 1 or 2, still ttc etc.) - became pregnant but lost baby (boy) at 9 weeks due to Trisomy 14
4)If pregnant, how many cycles did it take to conceive? 3rd Clomid cycle
5)Reason for taking clomid - was put on it by OB after ttc'ing 1.5 years prior to DS3. Later discovered that my lining was too thin & Clomid was making it worse & thus unlikely to ever sustain a pregnancy. RE switched me to injectible meds instead.

    Hi!

I took 25 mg from CD 3 - 7, conceived identical twin girls the first cycle of taking Clomid. I started to take Clomid because I have PCOS (saw a Specialist after months of TTC and no BFP).

    Good luck!
    Update! Identical twin girls!

Am I right in thinking clomid wouldnt have anything to do with identical twins? That's the one where the egg splits??? (correct me if im wrong, i often am) It'd be interesting to try for twin girls even out the playing field. But id assume any twins that clomid 'helped' with would be non identical due to being 2 seperate eggs? (Hopefully i make sense its pretty late a night and i dont make sense at the best of times)

Well, no one actually knows why id twins happen. So, while we do not think that Clomid ups odds of id twins (for the reasons you mention - Clomid can make you release more than one egg and then that's why it increases odds of twins) we cannot totally say Clomid can't cause id twins, becasue you can have ID twins on Clomid, or even triplets if you conceived frat twins and then one split to become ID twins.

But, long story short, the vast majority of twins on Clomid are fraternal twins from two separate eggs.

I have a 2 year old ds - clomid 50 mg day 2-6. Got pregnant the 3rd cycle. I did not sway back then and I think I was eating a pretty boy friendly diet (heathy vegetables every day, meat etc) and I think I gained a bit of weight the week I concieved. We did not dtd much - maybe 1-2 times pr week and only did it once in the fertile window. No pcos but do not ovulate on my own.
I am now trying to get pregnant and swaying for a girl. Have been on the LE diet 2-3 months and is on my first round if clomid. Same dose as last time. I got a pos ov test this morning which is 14 days after my last clomid pill, so I difinately ovulate late with clomid. We dtd yesterday evening and might do it again tonight ;-)
