Less Weight to Lose... Less Time on Diet?

Okay, I know that wasn't the best title, but I wasn't sure how to word it. I will have been on the diet for about 9 weeks when we start TTC. Actually, 9 weeks strict, but more like 14 weeks with a cruise thrown in there... so let's say 9 I'm 117, 5'4, BMI is 20.1. I know I can afford to lose a few pounds, but I'm pretty sure doing 60-70 mins of cardio and eating that few calories will make me lose quite a bit. Thoughts? I want to be on the diet for 12 weeks (and can wait that long) if it's more effective, just wondering what's best.

And... do the numbers show that swaying is less effective for people that start at a lower weight? I've popped out two boys around that weight, so I guess it concerns me a bit...

    Thanks!

I firmly believe it's what and how you eat, with 12+ weeks being ideal, that matters most. NOT your actual weight or how much weight you lose. If you find yourself losing too much or too fast, just up cals, preferably by adding empty sugars.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after removìng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

As a general rule, yes, I tend to encourage people who have nothing to spare, to start TTC a little sooner. Most people will not get pg that first month out anyway and that way you can start off doing the strictest sway that you want, and then have time to drop tactics over time.

What I DO NOT want to see any of you guys, but especially a thin person, doing is looking at the stats and then diet strictly for 12 weeks or longer plus exercise, then starting a really strict sway after that and ending up 6-9 months later with no ovulation and anorexia (and you think I exaggerate, I'm not)

My very great preference is that anyone who is below or drops below BMI 21, holds steady where they are at. There is still a lot of diet changes you can make without dropping cals too low.

Swaying is not less effective for people who start at a lower weight. In fact we have a study done in 10,000 women that shows lower prepreg. weight = more girls overall. It can be more of a challenge to sway because you lose too much weight, but if you are careful from the start not to let that happen and try to stay laid back with the weight situation, then its all good.
