doing the exact opposite to last time????
Hello,
On a previous thread I was asking about seasons effects on gender, most people agreed it was minimal. Here in Scotland the seasonal changes are so minimal (rainy all year round with the odd hot day or very cold day ) due to this I truly don't think seasonal change could really affect me.
However, after something I have noticed is same genders being conceived in close months (nothing to do with the season) but then getting the opposite gender in later or earlier months. Hope that makes sense!
For example:
My mother conceived:
me in February,
my sister in March
my brother in Oct.
Sister conceived her two boys in December and October
I conceived my two boys in September and December
Sister in law conceived her two boys in June
Examples on here have also shown for example, 3 boys conceived August/September then girl co conceived in April.
Does anybody else know if a good sway should try to avoid the similar months to conceiving before?
(Probably not)
Has anybody had conceptions of the one gender dotted throughout the year?
Sorry for rambling on

Oh my gosh. Scotland's weather sounds like my kind of weather! Here in Canada, we are having a very dry season and it's so hot (less hot today). I love the rain! However, I think I would miss the snow.
DH was most likely conceived in March, He has 2 brothers who were most likely conceived in December and October. His sister was likely July.
I was conceived in May. So was one brother. Other brother likely Feb.
Niece 1 was July
Niece 2 was Feb
DS1 was Oct
DS2 was May
DS3 was Sep
DD1 was April
DD2 was March
THis baby was in June gender unknown. So for my family, it is a little bit like that, but it's not strict at all.
Thank you God and Our Lady

Here's my experience with months of conception and gender--
My boys: June and August
Me: July
Hubby: Sept.
BIL: Nov
SIL: May
My nieces: Jan, Aug, March
My mom and dad: Nov. and May (respectively)
Just based on this, there's no real pattern. There's boys and girls born in both the cooler and warmer months.
*Some of these are estimates based on their birth date.*

Doing the opposite only works if whatever you are doing the opposite of, is the reason why you got a particular gender (and there is NEVER EVER one single reason why!!!!)
It is very likely day length that is swaying and not weather. I do think seasons can sway a bit but it is nothing to worry or stress about whatsoever. I think it is best to sway and then rely on that, and just TTC when it is right for you and your family.
FWIW I got: 2 boys in March (technically girl months) and with my first I had a boy-friendly lifestyle, with the other, I was swaying pink but taking massive doses of nutrients like B6, Vit. D, a prenatal, calcium, magnesium and something else that I can't think of right now (doing an old-school sway)
1 boy in June with a very very very boy friendly lifestyle, I may as well have been swaying blue with him
1 boy in August (I sometimes write October with him but it's August, I got confused LOL) with what I consider a relatively pink-friendly lifestyle. Of all my boys he is the one that knowing what I know now, I feel like he "should" have been a girl.
1 girl in Nov. with LE Diet and one attempt. My husband was smoking/drinking and both having tons of sodium and tons of caff.
When you look at other people's patterns of conceptions please keep in mind that many people do things like spacing children a certain number of months apart and thus this can be really misleading (as in, they wanted to have kids 2 years apart and ended up TTC around the same time of year - their babies may be the same gender but it could be their diet and lifestyle and the month is just a coincidence)
While I don't think you should dwell on this much at all I do want to show you the Duggars birthdays, all over the map. 19 Kids and Counting Duggar Family Tree with birthdays and ages

Oh and to extend this to my family - my sister's son and daughter are both born in March, my brother and sister born March/April. Not true for my family.

Thanks for that!
It's very reassuring to hear that people are having different genders throughout different months and seasons. I think it's because I am making so many big changes this time, I would like to cover every base. However, I know I will never make things 100% perfect but can only do the best that I can.
It's difficult not to obsess about details !
The thought of waiting until next spring to start TTC does not appeal at all. So it's onwards with the sway for 2015 hooray!
Thanks again x

...was also taking probiotics, I remember now!! That is one thing that they used on Ingender that we have found sways BLUE (was the only pink sway tactic that has ever gotten worse than 50-50 for us) and we now use only for boy sways.
Take my heat. Please.
It’s been awhile but I keep meaning to come back and say we swayed girl in 2022 and had a little girl in early 2023! First girl born in 110+ years on my husband’s side.[emoji179]
