How important is weight loss?
and what if the scale isn't budging? I'm down 3 pounds since I started a month ago but it was all lost in a big whoosh. The scale just keeps teeter-tottering now. It's been looking like this (not exact values just an approximation to get my point across): XX2.2, XX2.8, XX1.8, XX1.6, XX2.8, XX2.4, etc. Just up and down and back up again with the same stinking pound! I got to XX0.8 one day and got really excited and the next time I checked I was back up to XX2.8. It is frustrating. I am following the diet, and lately I haven't been able to do 6 days a week but I work extra hard for extra long when I do to make up the difference (so I am getting 6 hours or more a week just not an hour a day for 6 days) and I wasn't really losing when I was doing 6 days a week either. If weight loss is very important then I don't know what I am going to do. I can NOT go any lower in calories and I am doing my best to stay within limits and make sure I get ENOUGH calories. On avg I eat 1,200-1,500 calories, try to keep my fat around 50g, my protein between 50g and 60g and carbs (about 80% or more of which are healthy carbs, on a typical day, usually consisting of WG bread, dairy, fruits and veggies, etc.) hover around 150-180g a day. Can anyone see anything I am doing wrong? Anything I can fix?
The only thing I can figure is it might be the clomid since I usually gain while taking it (took it 2 cycles last time, years ago, and gained 15 pounds in 2 months) but I don't know... Or I am built pretty muscular, always have been... maybe I am building muscle instead of cannibalizing it, or whatever it is that the body is supposed to do? If the scale isn't moving is that going to harm my odds? TIA.Last edited by twointow83; July 6th, 2015 at 03:30 PM.

I think that weight loss is helpful for swaying because of the declining maternal health, but there's also the couch potato route which I think has had some good results as well. Maybe ask Atomic (have you gone for a plan?) xx

If you are looking at your scale and worrying over those type of fluctuations quit weighting yourself. It's normal to see that kind of fluctuation.
Weight loss is not seeming to be highly important. We see peopel who have gained on HE getting girls, and people who have recently lost, getting boys - the overall trend is that loss = more girls but it's not one of the SUPER effective things.
Keep doing exactly what you are doing. It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to gain muscle on that diet. It's hard for women to gain muscle on an ideal diet and it just isn't something you need to be worried about.
What I think is going on is in addition to the Clomid, you are really still postpartum with your loss and my body holds on to every scrap of weight it can for a good 6 months in that scenario. I think you're doing absolutely fine and keep it up.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Girls I do want to mention - I do get the swaying membership $$ too and it really does add up. I always appreciate the purchases very much because they allow me to continue this as a job and help as many as I can regardless of their ability to pay. Much thanks to all who support the site however they can.

I have not weighed myself in about 2 months. I find it depresses me and doesnt help you stay on track if one week your weight stays the same. I have lost loads of weight i know this from my clothes i have lost nearly 4 sizes and everyone is commenting i find that enough for me! I have no idea what i weigh.
