Timing the first meal of the day
Hi Ladies!
I typically get up at 6:30 AM daily, and I'm doing my best to skip breakfast, it's tough! What time could I potentially have my first meal?
Also, if I really can't stave off my hunger in the morning, are there acceptable things to eat for breakfast? I have sugar free candies at my desk, could I have a few of those?
Thanks!

The suggestion is to go 12-16 hours between your last meal of the day and the next meal you eat the following day. You don't have to skip breakfast and if you feel like you can't function without something to eat in the morning, you could eat your first meal then and just wait several hours before eating again. I remember someone here got a girl eating cream of wheat for breakfast but there's no magic breakfast food to get a girl. You're supposed to allow yourself to get hungry between meals so it doesn't turn into a bunch of mini-meals throughout the day. If you get really hungry between meals, have a cup of black coffee (that's what I do) or a sugar free drink. Most of us are eating 2-3 meals a day max. Basically, the whole idea is to have at least one long stretch between meals to allow blood sugar levels to get on the low side. Don't overthink it!

Awesome! Thank you so much! It's fairly tolerable and I can get to about 11 AM with nothing in my system, so that works! Now I just have to curb the snacking at night...

You don't necessarily have to skip it, just push it back as far as you can. There is no set amount of time, just do what you can do. Some days I found I could go longer, other times I had to eat sooner.
A lot of us (myself included) has a teeny breakfast of coffee with milk/cream and either artificial suweetener or sugar. I considered this something I wasn't willing to give up and had real sugar in it. Still got a girl..!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

One more question. Hypothetically, if I stop eating at 9 the night before and then have breakfast at 10 the next morning, does that suffice? Also, is oatmeal ok to have for breakfast? I like to have it with peanut butter, sounds strange but it's really good!

Yes it's fine to take into consideration when you ate dinner the night before.
No oatmeal and esp. not with peanut butter as that may be boy-friendly (and in fact is in my TTC A boy cookbook as I also love that combo!!)!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I haven't swayed yet. But for me, I typically follow this schedule:
Wake up 7:00 Am
Coffee with milk and maple (can't live without it) from 8-9 (I know I should be drinking this in one gulp but I just can't do it). I find that the coffee keeps me from getting hungry.
Lunch around 12 (if I have a day where I get hungry, I'll eat at like 11 or 11:30)
Dinner at 5-6.
That typically gives me about 15ish hours of not eating.
