Milk or cream in coffee is fine at breakfast or between meals. Doesn't count as a meal if you're sensible about it.

Huge lattes with 2 cups of milk in them counts as a meal.

I cheated and had real sugar in my morning coffee. But it was a cheat and I knowlingly decided to do that. yeah drinking sugar coffee all day between meals is really a cheat and not allowed. unsweetened or artificial sweetener is best both in morning and between meals

Wow today I had lunch at 12 and then dinner at 8pm. I am shocked I was able to wait that long. As soon as I felt hungry I went for a long walk. Also the coffee helped me as well as the CL all day.

Tonight I had rice, veggies, and a bit of cheese. I even have DH eating some of my meals!

Well no more coffee for me. I drank a cup at 8am and it's now 2:30am and I'm wide awake. Looks like I won't be sleeping tonight. DS wakes up in 3.5 hours. Coffee is officially out of my sway.

Wow. It's 3am and because I'm wide awake I'm now starving since I've been up all night. First cheat only three days in. I'm so upset.

First cheat 3 days in is quite common so I really wouldn't worry. It's all about doing your best. It took me quite a while for cravings to calm down and sometimes they came back and I'd indulge in some cheesy chips or maybe a burger once a month but it's the best I could do. I now don't feel that hungry and have 2 meals a day but it's easier as my attempt is in a few days and I will treat myself when my af is due. I was having 1 coffee a day and I think I am going to drop it too as I'm not sure if it contributes to mood swings for me. I do drink diet coke and that has caffeine so I have to not drink that after 530pm too.
    Hope you get some sleep!

Could I try decafe coffee instead of regular coffee? Will it have the save affects on my sway?

I'm not sure really, I don't think caffeine either clearly swayed or didn't sway so I think it's up to you if you include it. I think some of us use it just because it keeps us going and helps when feeling run down. Although I didn't have one today and didn't miss it.

I can only drink decaf Nessa as I'm allergic to caffeine. I'm drinking it during my sway as I can't see it doing anything negative and it keeps me feeling a little fuller in the afternoons when I'm needing something in between my two meals.

What was it about coffee that helps a sway? The caffeine or the coffee bean or do we not actually know this yet ?
