Clomid and frequency advice needed!
Hey everyone, I am on my 2nd cycle of Clomid now and have been swaying girl for the last 6 months. I am taking Clomid for a short luteal phase but added bonus that it sways girl! First cycle, we BD once on day of positive OPK after about a 10 day abstinence. Apparently a 10 day abstinence really DOES drop the sperm count way down. This month I really want/need to get pregnant but I don't want to totally ruin my sway. Atomic gave me great advice to do every 4 days plus one additional attempt at +OPK. I was even considering every 3 days to really up my chances.
I am wondering if there are people out there who took Clomid and what your BD pattern was and what gender you conceived. Did anyone do every day BD or every other day leading up to ovulation day and still get a girl, with or without Clomid? On one hand I want a girl SO bad, but on the other hand I really need to get pregnant due to my schedule for next spring, when the baby would be due(I am in grad school and my summer semester next year is much busier than spring so the sooner I get pregnant the better!). Plus I don't know how much longer I can make it on this diet and exercise! I guess I am hoping that the Clomid and diet/exercise will sway a lot more than multiple BD attempts will. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated!!! ☺️

Thank you so much Jennypenny!! Part of me just wants to throw in the swaying towel and BD every day and hope and pray the other things I have been doing will still sway girl and the other part of me panics every time I think of not doing everything I possibly can!

Totally know what you mean.
I am so impressed with the will power of people who can stay so strong with their sway for so long!!
I sometimes feel like I'm running out of steam!

Me too! I wish I could say I am super strict on the diet but I definitely have cheats. A LOT lol! That's why I'm leaning toward just doing frequent BD through O. But overall my diet is much, much different than it was with my boys so I'm hoping that helps my sway. I'm trying to tell myself that I will be happy with either a boy or a girl...

That's a good question. I was wondering this myself too.
I'm also on clomid, this is our 4th month on ttc. I've been trying one attempt for two months. Then last month my dh wanted to get me pregnant quicly en we BD a lot through ovulation. It didnt work. I think we wil have regulier BD this month ( every 3 days or so) + an attempt at +opk. Also i am using 25 mg clomid this month, because i believe clomid made me have a yeast infection every month (Sorry tmi) . Now that i've taking less, I didn't have it this month Yet.
I've been on the diet for 5 months now, also had some cheat here and than. Jennypenny, good to read those treads, give's me some more hope😊 i really don't want to do more than 2 attemps, really want to be pregnant soon. Good luck to you ladys! 🍀

I really, really do not recommend BD every day anyway. It's not good odds of conception, and while I know this seems counterintuitive, it's because you have no way of knowing when you'll O, so let's say you start BD on CD 10 and then don't O till CD 20 (happens all the time on Clomid_. Hubby will be totally depleted by the time the fertile window opens!! If you're ready to up odds of conception then do SMEP, but I do not recommend doing this after only 2 months on Clomid. You tried one month with abstinence and one attempt, there is A LOT of wiggle room between that and SMEP!!
I know it's hard when you've been at it a while but you won't be doing yourself any favors if you go from 0-60 without any stops on the way.
I would go to either every 4 days or every 4 days plus one.

BD a lot through O is not good odds of conception anyway. Do every 4 days plus one OR just every 3 days (I would not recommend doing e3d plus one yet for you)
It’s been awhile but I keep meaning to come back and say we swayed girl in 2022 and had a little girl in early 2023! First girl born in 110+ years on my husband’s side.[emoji179]
