    Period question!

So my cramps start pretty much when I wake up! Can I eat a snack or light breakfast just while I'm on my period so I can take medicine? Or is it still better to wait till noon?

It's not about the time of day so much it's about the length of 'fasting'. You can eat earlier in the morning than 12 if you've had a good overnight fast. If you feel like it you can push dinner a little earlier so that you can have breakie earlier.

^^What Miamelb said. It's the 12-16 hour fast between the last meal of the day and your first meal the next day so it doesn't matter if it's actually breakfast or not. Also it's okay to have an occasional cheat so if you wake up starving then just eat even if you haven't had a long fast.

Oh ok! I've been doing 15+ every day I just thought it had to be at least 15 but I always get 12 by the morning.

A 12 hour stretch is good. In fact I wouldn't push it past 16 because it's not necessary to torture yourself for that long lol plus I don't think it has any added benefit.
