OPK advice needed please
Hi all, I just turned 39 and DH is 42. We are going to start trying for our 5th baby and are wanting to sway pink.
I have always been very regular with my period but felt like I was ovulating earlier than I used to and my cycle is currently 25-27 days. I bought the clear blue ovulation predictor, tested on Friday (day 10) and got the circle indicating low fertility, Saturday morning flashing smiley face indicating high fertility and Sunday (day 12) morning showed non flashing face indicating peak fertility.. i’m really confused as to when we should try ? I’m taking magnesium, cranberry supplements and folate. About to start the LE Diet. PH level is currently around 5 for me and 8 for DH.
Thanks for any advice

If you're using the digital ones then you'd have your attempt once you get a solid smiley. I would wean off the cranberry since it doesn't sway and increases bleeding risks. Magnesium supplements may sway blue. I wouldn't too much worry about pH. We've found it doesn't sway and just stresses people out unnecessarily.

If you want timing (which I can't really recommend it for more than a month at 39!) you'd BD on the second flashy but as you can see sometimes you don't GET that anyway and go straight to peak. Most of us BD on first solid smiley/ first peak reading.
There's really no point in taking magnesium for a sway unless you're also taking calcium. The only reason why magnesium was ever supposed to be good for swaying was because it allegedly made calcium work better.
I can never recommend cranberry because the risks and side effects were major and it hasn't helped anyway - same number of people getting girls with and without it. If you do want to continue it, be sure to drop it at ovulation in the months you're planning to try since it may cause miscarriage.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Oh and at 39 I'd have you on this alternate diet which is better for blood sugar and egg quality (which we all need some help with at 39 LOL - I had a baby at 39 and 42 so I know whereof I speak here! )

2 weeks before. Keep in mind that many people think they actually sway blue and WANT to be on them for their sway. OPK are fallible. We use them because it's the best technology we have, but...
