Anyone on Humira?
Hello!
So I have Lupus & RA. I stopped my Meloxicam to TTC, and I am still on Humira. My dr thinks my 3 miscarriages were caused from my immune system attacking the baby. He seems fine with Humira, of course I am nervous.
Anyone conceive and carry to term on Humira? Any complications??

If your dr is right about your immune system attacking embryos, which CAN indeed occur, you may well NEED the Humira to get & stay pregnant. It is safe for the baby (I'm a pharmacist), though you are at increased risk for infection due to how the drug works. But you can manage that by staying vigilant and seeing your dr right away if you suspect an infection.
I have RA as well but have never tried the injectables, as it seems my case isn't that severe, but I wonder. Do you have a lot of pain, what type/where, and does the Humira help?
I was on a Cox-II inhibitor (same drug class as meloxicam) prior to TTC also but seem to be okay off it at least for now.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Oh, and if anything I would think Humira would sway pink both by 'decreasing maternal condition' and by counteracting auto-immune conditions which seem to sway blue.

Hey sorry, DS1 fell and got some gnarly stitches and busted himself up good. Boys!!!
I am pretty on top of any infections, stop injections once I have an Upper resp. or anything.
I have REALLY bad hand/wrist and hip pain mostly. My fingers are damaged from the RA. I was on Prednisone, and Plaquenil for over 10 years. Last year I went on Methotrexates, then Meloxicam and humira. Stopped Meloxicam in October to start TTC again.
Im a photographer (newborn, go figure) and just holding my camera was KILLING me. I had to suspend my wedding business because of it. I only take weddings for friends now, and that just about kills me sometimes. It hasn't stopped my pain, but reduced it by 80% easily.

I successfully had my girl nearly 3 years ago thanks to an awesome plan from atomic. I have just started on Ozempic to try and lose some weight due to PCOS and it’s working well. Does anyone...
