Both Tubes Blocked
HSG now shows that both tubes are now blocked. They were both noted as open after my surgery last August to remove polyps and fibroid. Got pregnant immediately, then lost. Doctor that performed HSG today says its probably from scar tissue forming after laprascopy. Follow up appointment set for October 24th to discuss options with new RE. I will still trust in the Lord.

Wow fefe, that is some heavy news. I am so sorry you have to go through this. Is IFV something you are thinking as a possible future step?

Possibly at the CNY New York clinic which seems to be really affordable. NY is part of my territory now.

I'm so sorry fefe!! You should know that sometimes hsgs are wrong. I had one in February and was also told that both of my tubes were blocked but then I got a surprise bfp in June! Obviously at least one of my tubes is open. I hope the same is true for you. Sometimes the tubes can spasm and appear to be closed. FX so hard for you!!

Thanks! I'm still in pain on the left side. I don't remember it being this painful before last year which I hear means that it's really blocked. I hate that I have to wait three weeks to discuss options. I feel like calling my surgeon and asking how in the world this could happen when he didn't touch my tubes at all. He just removed a uterine fibroid and scraped the uterine polyps. Why was he touching the ends of tubes near the ovaries?

I don't know. That doesn't make any sense. I hope the next few weeks fly by for you!

I actually would call him and hear what he has to say. Is this something that he sees happening regularly??
I have absolutely heard of people having spasms during the HSG, and i've also heard that sometimes it can be like a mucousy plug they can remove with laproscopy. Hoping and praying for good news soon.

I'm with a different doc now since the surgeon is not an RE. I'm assuming that my new RE may discuss with old surgeon at some point before my Oct. 24th appointment. The doc that performed HSG yesterday is filling in for my new RE since I couldn't make it any other day. Too many cooks in the kitchen at this point.
