    IUI & Swaying

Hi! Atomic if you can weight in, I would really appreciate it!

We have been ttc a girl for several years and found out that we can no longer do it on our own. We will need to have an IUI, it will be a 50mg clomid cycle with Hcg trigger.

My question is, is it worth swaying since this is the only way we may be able to get pregnant? Dtd isn't an option since Dh doesn't release any sperm.

I have been doing diet and exercise everyday since January 1st - we cycle in March.

    TIA

What I would have you do is atomic fertility diet here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...rt-3-pcos.html and then do the Clomid and IUI. I would not have you take prenatals but you should def. take folate. No fiber. No other supplements for you or DH (he may want to take a men's fertility vitamin - unless you are using a donor??)

Thank you for getting back so quickly..

So to get into a bit more detail..
I'm now 36, it's been 11 years since I had Ds3. All 3 of my boys were conceived rather quickly. I'm assuming the only thing against me now is my age. I've recently had a work-up and my values are below.

Dh had cancer in 2012, he is in good health now, thank God. However, he is sterile and we still have a strong desire to have 1 more baby, we decided to use a sperm donor.
I was between 102-115 pounds when I conceived my boys. In my twenties I could eat anything and everything and wouldn't gain a pound. I almost always had breakfast, ate out a ton, some form of meat/poultry daily, lived on sweets.

In the past 2-3 years I've put on some weight and I'm now at 137 and would like to loose approx. 10-15 pounds. Btw I'm 5'4"
I've been on the LE diet since Jan.1 - I try to stay between 1200-1500 cal a day, no breakfast and I do about 1 hour of cardio daily. I don't take any supplements besides folic.
Our donor is from a cryobank, is young and healthy.
    FSH - 9.6 mIU/mL
    TSH - 1.75
    PROLACTIN - 12 ng/mL
    ESTRADIOL - <50pg/mL
    VIT. D,25 - 28ng/mL
Based on my history do you still think I should do the pcos diet? TIA

Yes, I still want you to do atomic fertility diet because it's harder to get pregnant with IUI and you need optimal chances of conception.

I'm so glad your husband is healthy now and sending lots of pink sticky dust your way!!!

Thank you, you have been great!

Being that my Vitamin D is low, do you think I should supplement or stay away for now? I was taking Otc vit.D3 but stopped about month ago.

Also, I have the choice to take clomid 50mg or Femara. I chose clomid since I know that tends to lean more pink. What do you think about Femara? I do want to get pregnant as quick as I can, but I also want to do the best sway in my control.

Also, on CD 2 this month I has an US. I had only 6 eggs on L ovary and 11 on R. Does that seem low to you? I've never had an egg count before so I'm not sure what is normal for me.

Femara has actually been shown to be even better for pink and for pregnancy than Clomid. So I'd go with Femara.

If you're truly low in Vit. D I would go back onto it as being too low may keep you from conceiving. Maybe only take it 2-3 times a week as compromise if you're concered about how it will sway.

I think your follicle count is fine!! I wouldn't worry about that one bit!
