Is late ovulation potentially preventing my BFP?
I love this site, so much information! We've been ttc for about 8 cycles now. I usually ovulate cd 17, and now I'm starting to ovulate cd 18. I have 28-29 day cycles every single month. I had my progesterone tested, and my results came back indicating that I did ovulate. My diet has always been very blue friendly. We can't get DH tested, or any further testing until our 1 year mark. In the meantime, I want to try to improve our chances! We're 27, could stand to lose a good 15lbs (I'm working on it!) We've tried smep, eod, less frequency, drinking whole milk every day, lots of protein. Everything!!! I don't care about boy or girl anymore (we initially wanted a boy first), we just want a bundle of joy of our own. I will probably be doing more cardio (spin) as I'm trying to lose weight. I've lost 5lbs so far. Is my late ovulation potentially due to high testosterone? I read on here about peppermint and spearmint tea to lower it, and make ovulation more normal. Today is cd 2. Help

I ovulate much later & I'm pretty sure I don't have high testosterone. Are you sure when you're ovulating? A short luteal phase could be the problem if it's a few days later than you think.

If you are getting AF 10 days or less after you O, you may have a luteal phase defect. Have you tried atomic's fertility diet? Vitex? Sometimes these things sort themselves out on their own...

Sorry I think this got bumped away from me.
That is a short LP but technically is supposed to be long enough for pregnancy to happen.
My suspicion is that the HE Diet over time has perhaps made you a little bit higher in T and possible delayed O and shortened LP. So yes, I think it's a good idea to lose a bit of weight and do some exercise.
I don't think the spearmint/peppermint is any kind of miracle and my concern is that it might also mess with your cycle. My recommendation is Pregnitude. I'd do it daily for 10 days CD 1-10, then take a break till O occurs, then every other day till AF comes. If you get BFP, drop it.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Both my boys I got pregnant on cd 20 or 30 something. I've got log cycles but my LP is long enough so the pregnancies stuck.
