    Gender Prediction...Any Guesses?

    Hi everybody!

I hope you're all in the best of spirits and health.

We just had our 12 week scan done today and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas of what the gender could be based on these shots...

I'm not sure about this one. Looks girly (long and forked) but also looks like it's on the rise (meaning boy). Exactly how far along were you? There is a difference between 12+0 and 12+6.

yes - this is it - it's too close to call for us too..

    I think we're 12 weeks and 5 days

i compared it to our first and his skull was more block-ish in comparison but the nub was similar...

    hmmmm

we have another scan from 10 weeks for when they called us in too early by accident - will it help if i upload this?

No, 10 weeks won't help, sorry. The skull looks boyish, but don't put too much trust in the skull theory. Maybe someone else can help shed some light?

i heard somewhere that bone structure says a lot too...

perhaps the feet and facial structure can reveal more information?

I remember on our first - this forum, along with a couple others were very accurate with their predictions (boy)....

    Thank you for your messages

Really tricky - I want to say girl and leaning girl but wouldn't shock me if turned out to be boy
    Sorry not very helpful.
    Prayed and swayed Boy . . .
    Blessed with a beautiful Girl
    Thank You God

Skull looks more boyish to me, like the frontal lobe is trying to flatten out. That nub shot could go either way. I have seen too often long, forked nubs rise to a penis. This could go either way!

    60/40 boy.

Very tricky, could go either way I think but leaning girl slightly myself.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after removìng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

It's an interesting one...... i just can't tell. My summary of thoughts are as follows:

1 - seeing the fetus on the screen, moving about made me wonder as to how active it was - a major difference from our first, who was just chilling out on his back, not moving much.....could the active nature be a female trait?

2 - the jaw line doesn't seem very protruded - unlike our first (boy) - and pretty rounded and soft (possible female trait?)

3 - the skull seems to be flatter on the front but round in general - so the flatter part of the head makes me lean boy but then the rounder side makes me think girl

4 - if you draw a line for the base of the spine to continue onwards, and do the same with the nub - they head in a different direction, which to me demonstrates a male nub (?)

5 - the foot and hand look pretty large - and so these add to the case for a boy (?)

    Just some thoughts

    Thanks again guys
