Can white blob still mean girl?
I had a 13 week NT scan, and though the tech would not confirm, I saw a bright white, round blob sticking out between the legs (bottom shot). It was very quick and tech would not go back to analyze (more important things to do like measure the back of the neck!)
Anyway, I'm assuming boy from this (and a few other clues), but has anyone seen the same on girls, or is it boys only at this stage with that descending blob? The tech said it could also be swollen girl parts, but I'm skeptical.
If you have pictures or stories of girls at 12-13 weeks with a similar situation, I'd love to see/hear! Please help contribute to my denial.

I have all boys and my only girl didn't make it past 8 weeks so I have no stories. The tech is correct, though. At 13 weeks it is very tricky to determine gender because girl parts can still look like boy parts due to swelling. In about 3 weeks you'll be able to get a much more accurate idea of gender. Do you know when they plan to do another u/s?

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My next scan is scheduled at what will be 18 weeks, for the anatomy scan. We should know then for sure. The only thing so far pointing to girl (which has little value, most likely) is the Ramzi theory.

I don't know much about that theory but I know with my girl they said she implanted in the middle. Have you asked your doc about the Harmony or Verifi test? It is a simple blood test that takes your blood as early as 10 weeks and looks for baby's cells in your blood. It is used to check for downs syndrome and other conditions but it can also accurately tell you baby's gender. Given all my losses my high risk specialists office wants to do this test at 12 weeks so hopefully I won't have to wait till 20 weeks (when they usually do the gender u/s). It is worth asking about... worst they can do is say no.

Yep, they said no. I asked, and my doctor only does it for high-risk patients, or over age 35. It was too expensive for me to try to cover it without insurance.

Do you have any pics from your scan, maybe the profile shot and we'll see if theres a nub

I do, but the reviews are mixed because there's question if what we see is even the nub (from the doctor, a doula, Atomic). I'm getting all boy guesses from those here who do think it's a nub. That's why I'm wondering about that blob I saw vs the nub. I can't find any pictures on the Googles of the bottom shots at 13 weeks; they all seem to be 20 week scans shots.

Sure thing. You both guessed boy in my last post. All said boy. These are the images that the doula/doctor/Atomic were questioning was a nub at all (doctor said it's NOT a penis, doula said it looks like possible cord, and Atomic is questioning the location of the nub). Suffice it to say that Atomic said you ladies know your stuff, and would go with your consensus.

That's why I'm thinking back to the blob I saw, and wondering I should resign to it being a scrotum, or, if it's the swollen girl parts that the tech apologetically offered could be a possibility.

I successfully had my girl nearly 3 years ago thanks to an awesome plan from atomic. I have just started on Ozempic to try and lose some weight due to PCOS and it’s working well. Does anyone...
