Look, she just didn't want you to buy 10,000 dollars/pounds of stuff on some outside chance that it might not be a boy. But it certainly looks boyish to me. She's not trying to mess with your head, she's just trying to be responsible and have you wait a bit just in case.

Izzy-I'm not certain, but does look boyish. Our ultrasound tech & OB told us at 17weeks that it looked like we were having a boy, but not to paint any rooms yet until 20 week anatomy scan. Just save your receipts if you do go shopping I'll see if I can find DS1's potty shot & compare...

That looks like what I saw with all three of my boys at 12/13 weeks - I would be thinking boy from this shot.

Izzy-I'm def not an u/s expert, but you're right white is usually bone, so not sure. I wanted to share an u/s pic of DS1...without looking at the white parts, I think yours looks similar to mine. I'm guessing boy!!

Ultrasounds are weird. They have all kinds of shadows and lumps and bumps that no one (even the techs) know what they are.
Please do not start obsessing over your picture. There is no way to know 100% for sure off of that (which is why the midwife didn't want to completely commit)
You realize the two experts are not disagreeing, right?? They are both saying probably boy, the midwife (rightfully) did not want you to go nuts shopping until it was 100% confirmed.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
