single-mother by choice is searching for help
Hi all! I am Sabrina 30 Years old and from Germany. My biggest wish is to become a mommy. I couldnt find the right Partner in the past, so now I try it alone. During research on the internet i read about pgd and Gender selection. Dont get me wrong, i would love a boy the same like a girl, but in future there can come some problems e.g.my son will probably miss the male part for doing boys stuff. I am not in to Video games or football. Well, on my research i could find clinics in cyprus which are doing pgd for single moms, but i read so many unsuccessful stories and have a Bad feeling about cypries clinics. Therefore i would go to USA. Does anyone knows clinics in the USA which are doing pgd for Singles? It would be a great help for me. I am so glad to find this forum. Thanks to everyone and sorry for mistakes i made in englisch ;-)

Most of them will help you. There are several in New York and all throughout the US. We offer free consults with two doctors on here. The link in my signature contains a lot of info as do the HT forums.

Eneli is a "single mom" who has just finished a cycle at HRC. Probably the best option as you can have a fresh transfer and avoid additional travel costs.

I cycled at RMA NY as a single mom by choice. I also preferred a girl since I was going to be a single mom. However they will only biopsy hatching blasts, I was willing to take the risk since I was 28 and I really wanted to avoid travel, and they were willing to let me select gender for a first/only child. SIRM NY is another good NY clinic and they aren't as strict about what they biopsy but I don't know if they have any policies against choosing gender without doing family balancing (some clinics will only let you choose if you already have children of the other gender).
Cycle #1 - RMA NY May/June 2013 - 30 eggs retrieved, 22 fertilized, 7 normal XY frozen and 1 normal XX transferred - BFP! Abigail Eve born 2/20/14
